Many people with ADHD, especially women, consider themselves people pleasers. It can become automatic to put in a lot of effort to make people like you after doing it for so long, even if what they want goes against what you want. This can lead to some resentment down the line.
This week on Tips from an ADHD Coach, Jaye talks about how when we do a lot to please others, it can turn from selfless into self-serving. Listen for some tips on what we can do if we’ve spent our whole lives trying to please others, at a cost to ourselves.
