The Journeys of Astra Lost in Space

Kenta Shinohara's Astra Lost in Space is a short science fiction manga that is built around one single metaphor: the journey. This video is an analysis of the significance of this metaphor on the entire manga. The manga revolves around a literal journey, of nine students traveling home from the deepest reaches of outer space. But to achieve that, the students also embark on figurative journeys to come together as a crew and to uncover the hidden conspiracy behind their sudden disappearance.
